A Special Lenten Invitation to Confession and Prayer
WHAT: The 24 Hours for the Lord initiative, is an opportunity for us to experience the merciful love of God, especially in Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
WHERE: In the Diocese of Limerick this initiative will be held in the welcoming city centre St. Augustine’s Church, O’Connell Street, Limerick.
WHEN: It will begin on Friday afternoon, 9th March after the 4.00pm Mass and conclude on Saturday afternoon, March 10th, after Mass for the Sick, which begins at 3pm. In between there will be Eucharistic Adoration, with priests available for confession throughout the days and night.
WHO: All are welcome to participate in this initiative.
In his very first Angelus, Pope Francis remarked,
“Never forget this: The Lord never gets tired of forgiving us. It is we who get tired of asking for forgiveness.”
