Recruitment Campaign for New Volunteers

Limerick September 11th 2011 - During the week we launched a recruitment campaign for new volunteers for the various ministries and services in this church.

The Augustinian community expresses its deepest appreciation to those who have befriended, supported and shared our ministries down the years. There is no question of demotion! Instead we invite you all to be part of this recruitment effort with us.

On display boards at the back of the church you will see some visual illustrations of the various ministries with recruitment forms on the table. We invite you to make a prayerful choice of one of these ministries, placing a tick(√) inside the appropriate box. When completed please drop the form into the bookshop, the Pastoral office or pass it on to one of the community.

Training and guidance will be provided for each ministry. In the light of what I have written and against the background of the shattering revelations of recent years we place special emphasis on the establishment of a pastoral team to help us discern a vision for the future of our church, to listen to the Holy Spirit speaking through each other, to honour what is being said, to work out a pastoral plan with decisions made in consultation with our congregations.

Ultimately the future of the Augustinian church is in God’s hands and let us all work together with him to keep the doors open and welcoming.
